I just discovered that El Salvador and Panama don't recognize gay marriage, so I had to take them off my list of possible retirement locations. Thankfully, Colombia recognizes gay marriage, but I thought it was a conservative country?

I went through something very similar. It left me with Uruguay, and Colombia not even being a thought. Then I discovered Matt, and now Colombia, and Bogotá specifically, seems to be the undisputed frontrunner of the entire continent for me now.
